Inside Stories - Sydney Kirkpatrick |

Sydney Kirkpatrick shared a wealth of
inside information he gained while researching his book, Edgar Cayce: An
American Prophet, including the story of the priest from Star of
the Sea RC Church on Artic Crescent in Virginia Beach across from what had
been the Cayce home. This story
brought back memories of when we lived in Virginia Beach in the 1970’s,
attended Star of the Sea Church, and contemplated purchasing the old Cayce
home on Lake Holly. Having recently
completed Father Malachi Martin’s book, Hostage
to the Devil, about exorcism, I understood the caution of the priest, who
reluctantly showed up in full regalia carrying a lit candle to the reading of
a local banker who requested a health reading from Cayce as a last
resort. Nevertheless, the picture it
conjured up was as humorous as Kirkpatrick’s humorous bits from the
readings. I had encountered most of the humorous bits
mentioned by Kirkpatrick while working on the Who Was Who, the past life directory from the readings, but gained new knowledge from one
about a woman whose senses were heightened.
It was a relief to know that such a condition, where more than one
sense was heightened, really existed, because I also experience this
condition, which can be excruciating at times. As a combination of all five divisions of
the race, each of which the readings say personify a sense,* I personify all
five. Four senses: Feeling, hearing,
smelling and tasting are physically heightened. For example: I feel in my body anything I
touch, taste toxic odors that others do not smell, and become physically ill
at the sound of certain people’s voices.
Seeing is experienced as a heightened sixth sense. Kirkpatrick’s punch line about the woman with
heightened senses was about thinking twice before your speak. When I
researched the reading (910-01) it said that she thought twice because
of the heightened senses. This really
made more sense to me, since I not only have acute hearing, but also “hear”
what people are thinking. In my case,
thinking twice is not done to be careful of what I say, but to discern
whether to respond to what the person is saying or is really thinking, since
they are often in opposition. Thanks
to Sydney Kirkpatrick and reading (910-01) I gained so much from finally
getting confirmation on my heightened senses and why I sometimes hesitate in
responding. I also gained information
that seemed to clear up another mystery: evolution. Sydney Kirkpatrick spoke about Tom Sugrue’s
original manuscript of There is a River,
the cuts he had been required to make and the scrutiny, if not skepticism, of
his original publisher. For me, this
provided a possible answer to why Sugrue included the “philosophy” in the
back of the book that has the soul hovering over, training and entering
anthropoid apes, which appears to be in direct opposition to the reading that
expressively says that man did not descend from monkeys, but entered as Lord
over that that had been created (3744-4 – Q. 46), that evolution was the
refining of man over time as is documented in my book on Genesis: Let There Be Light: Creation and Evolution
in the Bible that is also compatible with the creation story in the Cayce
material including the mixtures, the time line, and the sons of God. Could Sugrue’s speculation have been included to
appease his publishers or the scientific community? Unfortunately, it is repeated in other
books and could be confusing even though all serious students of the readings
know that direct reading quotes have reading numbers, that if there are no
quotation marks, it is a paraphrase and if there is no number it is to be
viewed as the author’s opinion. Another interesting piece of information provided
by Kirkpatrick was what Cayce saw on his death bed when he reportedly
said: “The Master Musician,” which had
been speculated to be Cayce’s higher self.
Actually, there is a beautiful reading where (288) questioned the
meaning of seeing those on the prayer list as notes being played by the
Master Musician (Christ) in which “Master Musician” was reiterated in the
answer (281-8). In numerous readings,
Jesus had been identified as “The Master” and as the “Master of Masters”
(1436-2). He was also said to have
been a musician on the harp, on which he played the beautiful Psalm 91: “He
that dwelleth in the secret place of the most High shall abide under the
shadow of the Almighty…” at the last supper (5749-1). In the reading about the incarnations of Jesus
that mentions Asaph, Gladys Davis’s note suggests that Psalm 81:5 indicates
that Joseph and Asaph were one (364-7). However, in that reading, which is on the
important reincarnations of Adam in the world's history, both Asaph and Joseph are
mentioned, so that Asaph probably
referred to Asaph, David’s choir master and seer.
“(A) In the beginning as Amilius, as Adam, as Melchizedek, as Zend, as
Ur [a consciousness], as Asaph, as Jesus [Jeshua] - Joseph - Jesus. 364-7 An update of the scientific research that is going
on today was truly exciting and will vindicate much futuristic information
found in the readings. In speaking of
this, Kirkpatrick mentioned the merging of science as stated in reading
(5023-2): “Science and religion are
one when their purposes are one.”
This reading for a social science teacher also states that “…it (study
of the spirit of light of the beginning) is the science of light” (5023-2). I encountered that quote while working on my
doctorate in Religion and Transpersonal Arts.
When creating a new organization during my internship, it seemed like
the perfect name for uniting my interests, so I morphed my non-profit arts
organization: Broadway Tomorrow
Musical Theatre into Science of Light, which became the umbrella for all of
my organizations. Indeed, now with
the scientific research coming from a spiritual organization, the two are
merging into the study of light. The
word, “religion” is from “harking back.”
Science is finally catching up with religion
“harking back” to the light of the beginning. The most recent advances from the
geological research project in the Bahamas were given by Patrick Belisle. All

Atlantis Rising
The Cayce readings, of course, say that the Bahamas
are mountain tops of Poseida the large island of Atlantis where records are
in the sunken temple there, that it
will rise and new land will appear: "There will be new lands seen
off the Caribbean Sea, and DRY land will appear" (3976-15). I felt an immediate affinity to Patrick Belisle
when we met. Both his names carry
heavy symbolism. Patrick: “father,”
symbolically sires new births, as history will attest. Belisle is French for “beautiful
isle.” As a long-time http://www.royalislandbahamas.com/index.asp My meeting with Patrick Belisle reinforced my
strong feeling that there was definitely a message here connected to Atlantis
rising and the symbolic Royal road. It
is a lovely setting for vacation or retirement homes, and a site for
conferences or a stopover base for the research team as it expands. For those interested in more information
