The Golden Year
My 50th
Year with the Edgar Cayce Work
 In 1956, I
read There is a River, the story of
Edgar Cayce, which I had been introduced to by my friend, singer/musician, Dawn
Hampton. Fifty-one years later, I am
still involved with the Cayce organization, the Association for Research and
Enlightenment (ARE). In 2006, I published some of my experiences
in ARE Remembrances, Essays from My Fifty Years with the
Cayce Work. Also in 2006, feeling
impelled to take photos and armed with my trusty old Polaroid, I enlisted
anyone who was handy to take photographs of me with some of my dear friends
and acquaintances at the center though I was not consciously aware that I was
documenting my 50th year.
I’m glad I captured the moments.
As the sole female member from the original center begun by Hugh Lynn
Cayce and David Kahn in Chelsea, I find
myself in the position of matriarch of the New York Center happy to pass
on memories and history.
